District Superintendent's Report

Colorado District Conference in Session
Breckenridge, Colorado
Dear Fellow Ministers,
I greet you all in the majestic Name of Jesus Christ. We are gathered here for the greatest work for the greatest institution on earth - the kingdom of God in the earth. Where there is a kingdom, it suggests there is a king and where there is a king, there is a government. We are called to be used in God's kingdom and to do the work of His government until He comes. Then our work will be over and our new calling will be for eternity. If you have been called and chosen of God to minister His government in the earth, then He requires one thing of us and that is to be faithful - faithful to His Gospel, faithful to His mission and faithful in righteous judgment. Since His coming is being witnessed to be very soon, may we all covenant together to unite with a common bond and a common goal to see His kingdom expand to all people.
God has blessed our Colorado fellowship with hardworking leaders. 2009 has been a year of great challenge for our entire district, but we know who our Builder and Maker is and must put our confidence and trust in what He is doing. Sunday School Junior Camp and Kids Campmeeting was a great success and we are looking forward to a great 2010. It is all a grand investment into Colorado's future. Youth Camp and Youth Convention has been a great staple for the growth of our churches and for our district. May God continue to guide and anoint our Youth Team. Our Ladies and Men's Conferences have continued to add to the spiritual climate we desire to have in our district. Many of our pastors and churches have opened their arms for our deputizing missionaries and that keeps the revival fires burning in our churches. Home Missions has instituted a Home Missions seminar and is highlighting different areas for home missions churches and preaching points. May God bless all their efforts.
I pray often for your families, your ministry, and your places of labor and believe our best is yet to be seen. I support what you are doing and thank you from my heart for your support and prayers for me. We have a great challenge before us, but we have the Almighty with us and we know His people are the apple of His eye. He tells us that from His Word.
Thank you and God bless you for a job well done for 2009.
Your grateful servant in Christ,
B.E. Hale

Colorado District of the United Pentecostal Church
My Precious Brothers,
I count it a great privilege that last year you asked me to serve each of you and our wonderful District as your District Secretary-Treasurer. You have all made it a joyful experience already. I also appreciate the many words of encouragement. Bishop Hale has been very helpful to me as I endeavor to learn my new duties. As I am learning, I sincerely thank you for your continuing patience.
I strongly believe that in the Colorado District United Pentecostal Church, we do value and need each and every congregation, pastor, and minister. We are all on the same team and are co-laborers together. The minister who may feel least successful or most struggling among us is still incredibly valuable to our cooperative fellowship and united effort to work in the Kingdom of the Lord. We all hold value in this awesome mission!
Working together, we are pressing on while holding fast to Truth and Godliness, we are walking in the Spirit, seeking the Outpouring of the Holy Ghost and Fire and seeking Apostolic Pentecostal Revival!
If we will work together with Unity of Purpose and a future-oriented Vision for the Cause of Revival and the Moving of His Spirit, then we will be blessed of the Lord with the answers to our fervent prayers!!
I am still learning more and more about the accounting needs and "office" needs of the District. It has been a real challenge, but I believe that I am about to "get ahold" of it.
I wish that I had had more current and updated data to give to each Departmental Leader throughout the year. As we "normalize" the data, we will be able to provide better and more timely information in the near future.
I also wish that I had been able to provide Brother Costa the information he needed at an earlier date than I was able to do this year. However, I pledge that next year, I will know more and therefore be more capable of getting it to him sooner. And I wish to have a provide for a thorough review by each Department Leader of their "fund" well in advance of next year's District Conference. All of these goals are (of course) contingent upon the Lord's help!
We are also happy to report that after many difficulties, the property in La Junta has now been sold. There were a number of obstacles especially related to the "title;" however, they have all been finally overcome, and now the deal is done. The financial implications of that sale will show up in next year's financial reports.
In His Service and Yours,
Pastor Kevin M. Shaw
District Secretary-Treasurer
